325 lb. William "Refrigerator" Perry spikes the ball
after scoring a touchdown during Super Bowl XX
in January 1986. He played 10 seasons in the NFL
as a defensive tackle.
A new book "Da Bears!" about the 1985 Bears,
with Mike Ditka, Jim McMahon, Walter Payton,
describes the "Fridge" walking around the locker
room without a shirt on.
"He looked like a mudslide."
Today at 400 lbs, 51-year old Perry, with a nerve
condition, can hardly walk with a cane. Video.

Some numbnuts in the White House thought the Marines
should have unisex hats. ("Covers" in Marine speak).
They would only cost $8 million more, at a time when the
sequester is cutting ammo purchases. (Above right.)
Male covers, left, have been proudly worn since 1922.
It took about two seconds for the Commandant of the
Corps to lob that grenade back at them.
This current administration disrespects the military
from their fumbling Sec. Defense Hagel on down.
