Jake is five
and just learning to read. He points to a picture in a zoo book and proudly
says, "Look Mama, this is a frickin' elephant!"
His mother is horrified, "What did you call it?"
"A frickin' elephant, Mama. It says so right under the picture!"

This is Not the Tornado That Killed the Boy Scouts:Lori Mehmen of Orchard, IA took a photo of a funnel cloud swirling near
Orchard on Tuesday, June 10. She e-mailed it to several friends on
June 11 and it was published in the Globe Gazette and on the Web site
of the Mitchell County Press-News, Osage.
By June 12, the photo was the topic of news outlets and Internet sites
nationwide, and that's when the confusion started.
The Press-News verified the authenticity of the photo.
Last Friday, the Press-News received a call from KITV in Sioux City.
Its staff heard that the photo was of the tornado that killed four Boy
Scouts in western Iowa, another false report.
