Golf Letter From Dixie

"Bob, just returned from Myrtle Beach, SC where the World Amateur Championships were played Monday thru Thursday. There were almost 4,000 players and they grouped us by our age and handicap. I was 14.7 last month but dropped to 13.9 the week of the championships. I played four different courses and shot 84, 84, 79, & 84. I came in 12th in my group of 92. At left, my forty-year friend Walt Graves of Atlanta. This pix was taken at his recent tourney at the Country Club of the South. Walt won his 5th Flight. Where is he displaying all those trophies? Perhaps in the addition to his residence built with the quarters he's won from me? Congratulations Walter.
